God is our Strength
5th of August, a date which we hold so dear
Hence a spiritual pilgrimage to Italy in September that year
To visit the Basilica of St Mary Major in Rome,
Whose feast day falls on 5thAugust in
Dedication to our Lady of Snows
A legend about the miraculous summer snowfall
Thereafter a basilica was built
And it is now the largest Catholic Marian church of all
Throughout the pilgrimage in Rome we prayed without ceasing
May God be merciful and grant us a healthy child is
What we were sincerely seeking
May Our Lady of Perpetual Help intercede for us
that our prayer would be answered, in God we trust
Two months later on the 8th of December
The wonderful news that we were expecting a baby
Was confirmed by the doctor
That day was the feast day of the Immaculate Conception
“For nothing is impossible to God”
were the words Angel Gabriel said to Mother Mary at the Annunciation.
A baby girl we saw through the 4th month ultrasound scan
we named her after Angel Gabriel which means "God is my strength"
Finally Gabrielle Teo Zhi Ting was born on 6th July
Her arrival brought everyone abundance of joy
Our maternity ward was room 354 St Imelda @ Mt Alvernia
which was a surprise to us as it was exactly the same ward
which we stayed with Raphaelle and bid goodbye to her the previous year
Perhaps it was part of God's plan to go through the same process again
but with a positive outcome this time to take away our pain
Previously we offered a Thanksgiving Mass for 6th August 2015 at St Mary Major
in remembrance of the first year anniversary of Raphaelle our angel
Eventually this day came for us to remember Raphaelle
At the same time to celebrate the exact full month of the birth of Gabrielle.
Blessings come through raindrops some may say
We give thanks and praise the Lord
for Saint Raphaelle and baby Gabrielle in our lives today
